Die in den MEV-Systeme verwendeten Holzwerkstoffe besitzen bereits eine Brandschutzeinstufung. Zudem erhälten die Elemente in einem speziell von MEV entwickelten Verfahren ihre Schwerentflammbarkeit.
Erhältlich sind als:

- DekorA[k]tiv® FR – Akustiksysteme
Die Produktbezeichnung „FR“ steht für „schwer entflammbar“ (low-flammable) gemäß Einstufung nach DIN EN 13501-1.
The wood-based panels used in MEV systems already have a flame resistant classification. In addition,the honey-comb must be treated in a process especially developed by MEV.

LightAktiv® FR – Light-weight construction systems
- The areas of application for the flame-resistant LightAktiv FR are mainly in trade fair and shop construction as well as fire-protected interior fittings.
DekorA[k]tiv® FR – Acoustic systems
- The flame-retardant DekorA[k]tiv FR systems are used in public areas, busy buildings and rooms, such as B .:

- in office and administration buildings

- Kindergartens and schools
- Canteens
- Cinemas and lecture halls
